Tuesday, closing

Well, it is almost 9:00; Rowan and I are still awake. I think he has had so much food today, that the energy is still keeping him awake! We watched American Idol, our Tuesday night ritual. I was a little disappointed in some of the Idols, but others were very good. I mean, Mariah Carey!!! Come on, even the BEST could not pull off her songs. It was smart for some of them to twist the songs and make them their own.
I really love Brooke White, but her range is nothing!!! She is amazing, and I would certainly buy her cd's. I love the unique, raspy sound of her voice. Syesha, oh Lord. She is okay, but there is just nothing original about her, and that annoys me. My FAVORITE, and my new love, is Jason Castro! I know some people don't care for him, but he's hot...I love his voice, and I like the fact that singing is something he just found interest in; he is not TRAINED professionally to be what society says a singer SHOULD be. He's just unique...and hot. I love his eyes! Lord have mercy...he's hot. Oh, and I think he's really hot. Okay, okay. I know...
So Rowan really likes watching AI. He's my little musical genius, I do believe! Watch out America!!! He will be steeling your hearts in 15 years with his vocals! LOL
So, Rowan has some new tricks too. Yep, he learned to climb the furniture; now, he has been doing this for a little while, but...he NOW knows how to get himself down! It had been, he would cry, and Mommy would rescue him. Well, tonight, I stood strong. I explained to him that he was a BIG boy, he was climbing into the chair now, but that Mommy would NOT be helping him get down. A few minutes of crying, and me turning my head in fear, and low and behold...he climbed down on his own!!!! So, how long until he climbs out of his crib???? YIKES!!!

Tuesday, 04-15

Hello ladies and gentleman! Today has been a good day so far. Rowan slept well last night, I was drugged on Ny-Quil, so I slept for FIVE hours straight! A record, I do believe! Rowan woke up at 3:00 Am, then went back to bed for the night. It was a good night, indeed!!! :-)
Rowan has had quite the appetite today. For breakfast, he had cheerios and fruit and formula. His morning snack consisted of cheese, crackers and apple juice. He went down for a nap, and so did Mommy!!! Yep, that's right. I got a nap too!!! WOOHOO!!! After nap, Rowan was quite the hungry little man and ate yet again. He had some chicken and carrot sticks and banana. He was acting hungry early this evening, so I heated up Healthy Choice meal that we didn't finish yesterday, and he finished it ALL! It was some pasta and cheese meal, and he had more bananas. THEN, he just ate AGAIN! Yep, he ate steak, baked potato, mashed potatoes (we ordered food from Applebee's, three of us, so there was a lot to choose from). I tried to give him some of my baked tilapia, but apparently he is not a fish eater. He did love the steak though! Oh, and he had french fries. He is quite the little eater, I do foresee us going broke trying to feed our two little ones!!!
I am starting to feel a little better, but still not up to par. My head is not as congested as it has been, but my eyes HURT, well...my whole body hurts to be totally honest. I feel like every muscle in my body just aches. Hopefully we will be on our way to recovery SOON! I haven't been to the gym all week, and let me tell ya...I can tell! I just haven't had the energy...oh please, Lord, let this all end soon. It just isn't right to be sick AND have a baby to take care of. It is hard enough taking care of yourself when you aren't feeling well!!!
That's all I have to report for now, but the night is still young. I may be back on to tell ya'll more!

Winding down for the day...

Play time outside

Soaking up some sunshine!

We finally got some sunshine today, and I was determined to get Rowan out. We didn't go too far, or too long, but we did get out!!! Here are the pictures. Oh, and check out those shoes! He HATES shoes!

Yeah, the outfit is pretty hot. You just don't know high fashion! HAHAHA

I'm not the only tired one!

This was a new thing! Rowan has NEVER fallen asleep while eating, but this morning he did! I made sausage and biscuits for breakfast, and he fell asleep while eating! Rest assured, I put him straight to bed...after the pictures! LOL

Sunday down!

Good evening folks, I am so tired I may just fall over into the keyboard...so if you see something that looks something like this:

jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj////////////////////////////................................jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

well, don't say I didn't warn you. I did manage to finally get enough energy to get in the shower today. Tough, I know...I ended up just sitting down and letting the water fall. I really feel THAT miserable. I should have kept count of how many times I sneezed today; if I had to make a guess, I would say somewhere around150-200. No joke!!! I did count once, and I sneezed 17 times in a row. That is insane!!!
Anyway, I had to drag myself out to get some necessities tonight. We were out of just about everything, and when I realized that Rowan was out of his meds, and I had NO cold meds for myself, well...that was enough to get me up and moving.
First, I hit Walgreen's. They had 120 count Puffs tissue on sale for 89 cents, so I decided it would be smart to go there. Also, they had Crest toothpaste 2/$3, and I had 2 $1 off coupons, so I got them for 50 cents! Yay!!!! Hey this all adds up when you are sending it overseas to the troops! Take note people, go get your toothpaste!!!
Well, then I went to Wal-Mart. My intentions were to be in and out quickly, as it was almost Rowan's bedtime. I needed the following: diapers (oh yeah, for the first time, I RAN OUT!!! I DO MEAN OUT!!!!) milk, eggs, bread, butter, cold meds. What I ended up with was much different, and my receipt looked something like this: all of the items above + bananas, pears, strawberries, yogurt, sausage, Bologna (for the dogs), mild cheddar block cheese, 2 boxes of Ritz Bits crackers (for Rowan), 5 jars of Gerber meat sticks, 2 things of tortellini (chicken, cheese), 2 12 packs of Pepsi, 24 pack of Diet Coke, and I can't recall what else. Insanity, and this is why I hate Wal-Mart!!!
I just took some Ny-Quil, and I have no idea how this will effect me tonight. I am hoping it knocks me on my butt, so long as I don't sleep so soundly that I don't hear my son when he wakes up (and notice I say WHEN, not IF, because my one year old does not sleep through the night when he is NOT sick either!!!).
At that, it is nearing 10:00, and I am going to hit the sheets. Rowan is asleep, hopefully it stays that way, and I may just happen to run across a bottle of wine on my way upstairs! Good-night!

My friend, the stork...

Why you don't leave Rowan alone, for even a SECOND!!!

This is what happens when Rowan is left alone for just a couple of seconds. He dumped out the water bowl, which you really can't see well. He then put dog food in the water bowl, and in his mouth...YUM, huh? He also nearly emptied the cabinet...again!!!

Lazy day today!

Folks, it has been a lazy day in the Lipscomb household today! We are running off zero sleep, and I must be honest...there has been no showering goin' on, little eating, and we are still in our pajamas at 3:55 PM! Lastnight was a LONG night, and I just cannot seem to get any energy up today. On top of it all, I am feeling terrible; my head feels like it quite possibly might start floating at any minute.
I did however, get to talk to Jamie today!!! :-) YAYA!!! He called this afternoon, right when Rowan went down for a nap, and then we talked on messenger for a bit. Why is it that he has the BEST timing? I was waiting all morning for my munchkin to go down for a nap, couldn't WAIT to get my head on my pillows...oh well, I got to talk to Jamie, so I won't complain too much!
So, when Rowan woke up, I was making his lunch, and noticed an odd looking bird in our backyard at the edge of the water. Our dogs were going nutty! I went out on the deck to get a closer look, and low and behold...it was a freakin' STORK! Who knew!!! I got out my camera, so I will put a picture up here in a bit. I sure hope this stork was not here to bring me any news! I sent it on it's merry little way, across the water. The neighbors have three kids, what's one more? I sure do not need any news like that right now!!! Bye-bye little storky friend, come see me in a year or two, k? Ok...
